Wei Lo is a versatile and dynamic pianist, guitarist, and composer/arranger. Wei has studied the piano for over 20 years and specializes in classical and jazz. Her love of piano began at the age of 4 and she has since then collaborated with many different types of instrumentalists and types of ensembles including: jazz combos, vocalists, bands, and classical accompaniment for soloists. She later attended the University of the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music and studied under the tutelage of Dr. Sonia Leong (Trio 180). Prior to continuing her musical studies abroad, Wei was an active participant in the recording industry in Taiwan. She has a technical command of the instrument as well as a delicate touch and thoughtful sound.
Monica Torres is an accomplished guitarist. She is able to play in a variety of styles and has played for many weddings and private parties throughout Northern and Southern California. Her sound is characteristic in its warmth and resonance. Monica is also a saxophonist specializing in classical performance. She was born in Southern California, and began playing the saxophone at the age of 9. Monica decided to continue her studies at the University of the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music under the renowned David Henderson (San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco and Premiere Sax Quartets). Here Monica performed in many large and small ensembles as well as performing solo. Her playing has been described as musical poetry for its expressive power and beauty in sound.
